The KA series retarders are designed to be installed on the back of the transmission housing or the front of a Tandem or single rear axle. They are common on vehicles with very short driveshafts where the CFK series is not an option. With the KA series the Stator is fixed to transmission or rear axle housing. The KA rotors are connected to the driveshaft and output shaft of transmission or pinion flange of axle.
The main applications for these models are rear-engine buses or vehicles with very short driveshafts.
