The KA Series retarders are designed to be installed on the rear axle carrier assembly. This installation would apply when the vehicle driveshafts are too short or space for mounting is limited for a CFK installation. To install the KA series, the stator is fixed to the transmission or the axle carrier assembly housing. The rotors are connected to the driveshaft and output flange of transmission or input flange of the differential. Main applications of these models are rear engine buses or trucks.
